Jhansi, Nov. 20 -- Jhansi was aglow with colorful lights as every street, corner and landmark was decorated with diyas and LED bulbs to mark the 197th birth anniversary of its iconic heroine, Rani Laxmibai, celebrated worldwide for her indomitable courage. Patriotic songs resonated throughout the city as citizens paid homage to the queen who ignited the spark of the First War of Independence in 1857.
