LUCKNOW, Sept. 23 -- A jewellery artisan reportedly took advantage of his long-standing relationship with shop owners and fled with gold and silver worth lakhs from multiple shops in Rajajipuram, police said on Friday. Inspector Talkatora, Kuldeep Dubey, confirmed that a case has been registered, and the investigation to trace the artisan, Soni, is underway. According to the complaint, Chandan Rastogi, owner of Shri Banke Bihari Jewellers, Rajajipuram, had employed Ranjit Kumar Soni, a resident of Saripura, for several years. On September 19, around 1 pm, Soni allegedly took 18 grams of gold and 650 grams of silver from the shop to craft jewellery but never returned. Rastogi later visited Soni's rented residence, only to find that the artisan had vacated the premises the same day. Enquiries in the surrounding area revealed that Soni had also absconded with 20 grams of gold and 650 grams of silver from another shop.htc...
