Purnea, Nov. 6 -- The elder brother of a Janata Dal (United) leader, his wife and daughter have been found dead at their residence in Purnea district of Bihar, police said on Wednesday. The bodies of Naveen Kushwaha (52), his wife Kanchan Mala (48) and their daughter Tanu Priya (23) were found from their house in the district headquarters area on Tuesday night. Niranjan is the elder brother of local JD (U) leader Naveen Kushwaha. "Soon after receiving the information about the dead bodies found in the house, a police team reached the spot. The bodies have been sent for the post-mortem examinations..." Sadar sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Jyoti Shankar said. Purnea superintendent of police (SP) Sweety Sahrawat, in a press note released late on Tuesday, said the cause of the death will be ascertained after the post-mortem examination, adding that forensic experts have collected the evidence from the spot. "There is a ligature mark around the neck of the businessman and besides nothing has been found," the SP said. The police are "investigating the case from all angles", the SDPO added. Commenting on the incident, Purnea lawmaker Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav claimed, "Prima facie, I won't call it natural a death and I think the post-mortem report will reveal what actually happened."...
