PATNA, May 14 -- Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday backed the 'new normal' policy of India in dealing with terror, as reflected during 'Operation Sindoor' and underlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation. At a press conference at the JD-U office, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and senior party leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that India's 'new normal' and declaration that any act of terror would be treated as 'an act of war' was a praiseworthy stand, as was the unambiguous stand that it would not allow any third-party mediation "It is a clear message to Pakistan. The tough stand that any talk with Pakistan would only be on the fate of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is also a welcome step after the heroic effort of our armed forces to make Pakistan pay heavily for harbouring terrorists with a demonstration of its precision, technology and courage to reach anywhere in no time," said Choudhary, who was accompanied by state party chief Upendra Kushwaha By making it clear that 'Operation Sindoor' was merely on hold for the present and there was no ceasefire, he said, the PM has told the world loud and clear that India would not entertain any interference and would go beyond its own territory to hound terrorists in keeping with its policy, interests and self respect....
