Japanese footballer meets DGP
LUCKNOW, April 30 -- Internationally renowned footballer of Japan and his NGO team on Tuesday met Prashant Kumar, director general of police, Uttar Pradesh.
During the meeting, DGP along with Amitabh Yash, additional director general of police, law and order welcomed Nozomu Hagihara, founder of Japan-based NGO FC Nono/Nozomu Foundation by presenting a bouquet and a memento.
"Nozomu Hagihara is undertaking the world's longest football dribbling journey of about 2000 km from March 3 to May, covering several states of India from Kolkata to Delhi for charitable purposes such as empowering children and promoting Japan-India sports cooperation," said a press note from DGP office.
During this visit, AGD (L&O) also issued instructions to all the districts on the route for the smooth journey of Hagihara.
He was accompanied by the Guinness Book of India's videography team, which will remain with them throughout the trip.
On the occasion, the UP Police football team also interacted with Hagihara and learned the tricks of football....
