LUCKNOW, Jan. 11 -- Following multiple complaints of contaminated drinking water and erratic supply from different parts of the city, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation's water works department (Jalkal) on Saturday carried out a citywide pipeline repair and maintenance drive. The large-scale operation aimed at restoring safe and uninterrupted water supply while addressing long-pending civic issues. General manager (Jalkal) Kuldeep Singh said the department was conducting regular inspections. "After receiving repeated complaints of contaminated water, we intensified checks and repairs. Wherever leakage, or blockage is reported, teams are sent immediately for on-site resolution," he said.
