Jhansi, Sept. 1 -- The Jalaun police on Sunday arrested two more accused-Dilahad and Shadab-in connection with Friday night's violence near the Orai bus stand on Kalpi Road, where three people were assaulted and several vehicles set on fire. With these arrests, the total number of accused held has risen to six. In a major crackdown, the district administration, in coordination with the Orai Development Authority and Nagar Palika, demolished illegal constructions, including a farmhouse belonging to main accused Majid and co-accused Shadab on Jail Road. Confiscated items included vehicles and electronic gadgets. The operation was carried out under heavy police presence and in the presence of city magistrate Rajesh Verma. District magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey said, "Strict action is being taken against all those involved. We are identifying individuals who supported or sheltered the accused-legal action will be taken against them too. We are committed to ensuring such incidents do not recur." The incident occurred on Friday night when Majid, Shadab, and several associates reportedly attacked employees of a private bus operator at the Orai bus stand. The altercation began when the employees objected to the accused filming a woman who was waiting inside the office with her husband. The confrontation escalated into violence, with the accused allegedly beating the staff and setting multiple two-wheelers ablaze on the main road.
