PRAYAGRAJ, May 1 -- The body of a 20-year-old ITI student, who had earlier fled his hometown after a police complaint was filed against him by his girlfriend, was found on the roadside in Unnao on Wednesday night. Police identified him with the help of documents found near the body and informed his family, who have alleged murder. The deceased was identified as Akhilesh Gautam, a resident of Birapur under the Fatanpur police station area in Pratapgarh. Akhilesh was pursuing an ITI course in Unnao, where he became involved in a romantic relationship. Following a dispute, the woman reportedly lodged a complaint against him and three others. According to police, when Unnao police teams visited Birapur about four months ago while searching for Akhilesh, he fled the village and later went to Mumbai, where his father was working. On Tuesday morning, Akhilesh left Mumbai by train, informing his family that he was traveling to Delhi.
