Is Dhurandhar 3 on the cards? Film's producer drops a hint
India, May 9 -- After filmmaker Aditya Dhar's hit franchise Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge created history at the box office by shattering several records, the makers have now dropped a major hint about the film returning with another instalment.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, co-producer Jyoti Deshpande said, "We're not done with Dhurandhar yet. We'll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There's something up our sleeves."
Meanwhile, HTCity had also earlier reported that the makers have decided to turn even the making of the franchise into a spectacle. All the behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews will be collated into a full-length feature film and will be unveiled as a theatrical release in the last quarter of 2026, and then eventually make it to OTT as well.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge became one of the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide. While its OTT release is awaited, an ongoing controversy surrounding the film has further added to the buzz.
The controversy erupted after filmmaker Rajiv Rai filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the use of the song Tirchi Topiwale its climax sequence, which is originally from Rai's Tridev (1989). The remixed version, titled Rang De Laal, was composed by Shashwat Sachdev for the film.
Initially, the Delhi High Court had asked the parties to settle the matter through mediation. However, on Wednesday, the court was informed that mediation had failed, resulting in an ongoing legal battle.htc...
