IPS trainees urged to strengthen public trust through transparency
LUCKNOW, Dec. 4 -- Uttar Pradesh principal secretary (home), Sanjay Prasad, on Wednesday urged IPS probationers to prioritise field engagement, transparent grievance redressal and people-centric policing during their service, stated a press note by the home department.
Prasad was interacting with 23 trainee IPS officers of the 77th RR batch of the UP cadre, who paid a courtesy visit to Lok Bhawan.
He stressed that chief minister Yogi Adityanath has placed law and order at the top of the government's agenda, resulting in improved public perception of the police.
He advised the young officers to spend more time in the field, understand grassroots realities. "Always keep public interest at the core of your work. Even small incidents must be taken seriously. Your conduct, work ethic, and communication will shape the image of the police among citizens," he said.htc...
