Int'l meet on next-gen networks, deployable AI begins at MNNIT
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 19 -- An international conference on Next-Generation Networks and Deployable Artificial Intelligence (NGNDAI)-2025 organised by the department of computer science and engineering at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT)-Allahabad began on Thursday. The meet marks the beginning of a three-day academic and industry convergence on emerging technologies.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by chief guest prof AK Misra, former professor, CSED, MNNIT, and guest of honour prof Girija Chetty from the University of Canberra, Australia. The event was presided over by prof MM Gore, director and general chair of the conference, along with prof Neeraj Tyagi, dean (academics), prof Mayank Pandey, organising chair and head of the department, CSED, and Deepak Gupta, organising secretary.
The conference aims to foster global dialogue on cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence, intelligent networks, and next-generation communication systems, bringing together leading researchers, academicians, and industry experts, said Gupta.
The first day of the conference featured sessions by Aditya Nigam from IIT-Mandi who delivered the inaugural talk on "Foundational Models in Deep Learning: Efficient Adaptation at Scale" followed by a keynote address from Prof Girija Chetty, who shared insights on "Multimodal Generative AI: Opportunities and Challenges."
An industry talk was presented by Manish Bajpai, COO and head-product, Nivetti Systems, focusing on "Evolution of Networks in the AI Era."
Throughout the day, six technical sessions were conducted covering themes such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Fog and Edge Computing, and Software-Defined Smart Networks.
