Infant, uncle killed as car overturns
Bharatpur/Jhunjhunu, Dec. 7 -- A seven-day-old girl and her uncle died while her parents sustained critical injuries after their car overturned and collided with a truck on Saturday in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu, police said.
According to police, the accident took place on Sikar-Jhunjhunu highway under Mukundgarh police station limits.
The car reportedly overturned due to a burst tyre and collided with a truck on the other side of the divider. Mukundgarh police station SHO Tara Chand said, "The family's car overturned and collided with a truck after crossing the divider. A couple got injured while their newborn daughter and relative died."
On being informed, police rushed all injured to Nawalgarh hospital where the child, Nevish, and her uncle Mohammed Maksood, 45, were declared dead.
Her father Ikramuddin Khan, 38, and mother Kherunisha Khan, 35, were referred to Sikar district hospital, police said, adding the bodies were handed over to family members after post-mortem examination....
