Jhansi, Oct. 17 -- A head constable in Lalitpur district, handed over his gun to another drunk man, under the influence of alcohol. The other man, also drunk, was seen roaming around in the busy market place, brandishing the gun and attracting the attention of hundreds of people. The matter came to light after someone filmed the whole incident and uploaded it on social media after which the cop was suspended.The incident, said to be of Wednesday afternoon, took place in the Ajitapura area of Lalitpur. Constable Dinesh Awasthi was posted on duty. A drunk Awasthi, handed over his rifle to a bystander for unknown reasons. The man who was also under the influence of alcohol, was then seen roaming around with the gun in the area. The man was later on seen sitting behind Dinesh on a motorbike and both of them drove off.Someone filmed the entire incident and uploaded the video on social media. Taking cognizance of the video, SP Lalitpur, Mohd Mustaque, suspended Dinesh and ordered an inquiry against him. Circle officer, Lalitpur, Ajay Kumar said that Dinesh Awasthi has been suspended and the other man, identified as Rajkumar, 48, has been booked and sent to jail....
