MEERUT, Nov. 22 -- Although Indian Industries Association (IIA)-supported Muzaffarnagar industrialist Kush Puri has withdrawn his candidature from a graduates' constituency in Meerut region for the upcoming election to 11 seats of UP Legislative Council, IIA office bearers claim that the industry sector has certainly emerged as a potential vote bank.

IIA is a lobby body of the MSME and over 5000 industrial units in western UP are associated with it.
