LUCKNOW, Sept. 24 -- Spirited Indian Army and Air Force won their matches on Tuesday in the 43rd All India KD Singh Babu Invitational Prize Money Men's Hockey Tournament, notching up convincing wins, at the Padma Shree Mohs Shahid Synthetic Hockey Stadium in Vijayant Khand here. Indian Army registered a resounding victory 8-1 against GST and Central Excise. GST and Central Excise took the lead with a single goal in the first quarter (1-0). However, Indian Army scored two goals each in the second and third quarters, and four in the fourth and final quarters, to complete eight goals-rout. Neeraj Kumar Waribam scored a hat-trick for the winners, scoring three field goals in the 27th, 43rd, and 46th minutes. In the second match, Air Force defeated Combined Hostel UP 5-2. Air Force scored two goals each in the first and second quarters, making the match a one-sided affair. Combined Hostel then narrowed the deficit with a goal each in the second and third quarters. Air Force then scored another goal in the final quarter to secure a 5-2 victory. Techtro Lucknow Football Club (TLFC) and Lucknow Falcon Reserve Club (LFRC) stormed into the final of the District Football League-2025 here on Tuesday. The final will now be played on Thursday.
