Lucknow, Feb. 10 -- "The objective of any budget is to put the country on the path of long-term progress. Today, India has become the fourth largest economy, and our foreign exchange reserves are also at an all-time high," said deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. He was speaking at the 'Union Budget 2026-27 Traders' Conference' organised on Monday by the Bharatiya Janata Party (Trade Cell) at the Visvesvaraya Auditorium here. Addressing the gathering, he said India is collaborating with the world's leading countries in terms of technology, and appealed to traders to buy and sell only indigenous products. "If traders do not have a guarantee of security, would anyone want to do business in Uttar Pradesh?" he noted. "When the Samajwadi Party government was in power in the state, traders were migrating because neither their money nor their families were safe. But today, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, chief minister Yogi Adityanath's government guarantees the security of 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh." htc...
