INDIA bloc's seat talks may begin next month
Patna, May 26 -- Opposition INDIA bloc constituents are likely to start seat-sharing talks for the upcoming assembly elections after setting up block-level coordination committees next month, people familiar in the grand alliance said on Sunday.
"We are emphasising on allocation of seats among the allies early so that joint campaigning for the assembly elections could start. Last time, we missed the majority owing to delayed distribution of seats and lack of proper coordination among local-level leaders," a former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA said, adding the alliance partners are likely to finalise block-level coordination committees in the second week of June.
The INDIA bloc constituents - the RJD, Congress, Left parties, and the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) - formed the district-level coordination committees, comprising prominent leaders, on May 18.
