LUCKNOW, Jan. 26 -- An alleged illegal garbage collection and dumping network operating near the Takhwa intersection in Chinhat area was exposed on Sunday. Acting on the matter, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation seized three garbage carts, according to an official press release. The unauthorised dumping had been causing sanitation problems in the locality. During an inspection, LMC officials caught the operation in progress, with garbage carts unloading waste at the prohibited location. A preliminary probe indicated that the activity was allegedly being run with the involvement of Avinash Verma, Shambhu and Amit, who were facilitating unauthorised garbage collection and disposal in violation of municipal rules.
