LUCKNOW, Nov. 24 -- The Institute for Career Studies (ICS), founded by career education expert Dr Amrita Dass, organised its first multi-stakeholder conclave in Lucknow, marking a significant milestone in its 40-year journey. The event gathered leaders from education, industry, policy, technology, and social sectors to discuss the future of learning, work, and human potential in an AI-driven era. The conclave opened with '40th Anniversary Reflections' by Dr Dass, who reiterated ICS's mission of delivering "Hi-Touch, Hi-Tech" guidance to help learners transition "from class to career and beyond." The first panel, "Envisioning the AI Tipping Point in the Future of Work," explored how AI is transforming industries, with moderator Dr Rishi Sethi and experts Ram Kevalur, Kavita Bhanwadia, Naveen Athresh and Varun Chatterji offering evidence-based insights on shifting job trends. The second session, "Real Intelligence Matters," moderated by Dr Urvashi Sahni, highlighted the irreplaceable human qualities-creativity, empathy, intuition and wisdom-with panelists Dr Jonathan Long, Meenakshi Sahni and Prof Aditya Trivedi stressing their value in an AI-driven world. The concluding panel, "Bridging Learning and Work for an AI-Driven Future," explored how institutions and industries can collaborate to strengthen the future workforce. Moderated by Seema Jham, the session featured additional chief secretary Rashmi Arun and workforce strategist Dr Kaustabh Sonalkar, who emphasised the need for stronger connections between academia, policy and industry.
