LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- Ahead of the Independence Day, a full-dress rehearsal of the main state-level programme, to be held in front of the Vidhan Sabha building, was carried out here on Wednesday. In this programme to be held on August 15, chief minister Yogi Adityanath will hoist the Tricolour, which will be followed by cultural presentations imbued with the memories of the freedom struggle and the spirit of patriotism. Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob and district magistrate Vishak G jointly observed the rehearsal. On this occasion, officers of all the concerned departments, including police, administration, municipal corporation, PWD, health, transport, culture and information department were present. Ahead of Independence Day and Janmashtami, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation has launched a special cleanliness and decoration campaign across all eight zones and 110 wards.
