Husband, in-laws booked for woman cop's murder
GORAKHPUR, Sept. 13 -- District police on Thursday night registered a murder case against a man and his parents for their alleged involvement in the murder of his wife who was a head constable with the CID department in Gorakhpur earlier this year.
The action was taken after the viscera examination report of Saroj, 38, confirmed poisoning. Those booked included Saroj's husband Ashtbhuja (also a constable), her mother-in-law Rita Yadav and father-in-law Ram Pyare Yadav. The case was registered at Shahpur police station.
SP, North, Jitendra Kumar said the incident occurred in February but the case could only be registered after the viscera report confirmed poisoning. The complaint was lodged by Saroj's father, Harilal Yadav, who alleged foul play in her death. He accused his son-in-law of having an illicit relationship with another woman constable and conspiring with his parents to murder Saroj....
