Jaipur, May 7 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan police has launched a manhunt to nab the absconding personal assistant of Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) legislator Jaikrishn Patel, who was caught red-handed while accepting a Rs.20 Lakh bribe from a mine owner, across four cities in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh,an official said on Tuesday. The investigating officer (IO) of the case, Sandeep Saraswat, said: "The ACB had a full-proof trap to nab the MLA red handed. We were successful in our mission. But, soon after we caught him, his PA, Rohit, fled the crime scene with the money. On Monday, we have recovered the money from Rohit's uncle's place. But he is yet absconding." "We have sent our teams in Rajasthan's Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, and also in Uttar Pradesh's Agra to catch him," he added. According to the official, the agency had installed a GPS in the bag in which the money was carried by the complainant on Sunday to pay the bribe to the MLA at his officials residence in Jaipur's Jyoti Nagar. "However, he removed the GPS before fleeing, handed over the money to his uncle Jaswant aka Laxman Singh, and dropped the GPS at a road in Dausa while fleeing. We are trying to trace his locations and also received some inputs. We will arrest him soon," the IO said. MLA Patel and his cousin Vijay Patel aka Vicky were arrested on Sunday after being caught while accepting the bribe from the mine owner Ravindra Singh Meena (the son of a BJP MLA Ramniwas Meena) for allegedly dropping three assembly questions related to illegal mining. "After accepting the bribe, the MLA gave the money in a bag to Vicky from whom Rohit took it to keep safely. When ACB arrested the MLA, Rohit immediately fled, dropped the bag at Jaswant's place. Later, Jaswant took it to another individual Jagaram's place in Jaipur's Indira Nagar where they burried it in the garden," said Saraswat....
