Lucknow, June 9 -- The Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has alleged corruption in purchase of crops from farmers. The former chief minister of the state has also alleged 'loot of government money' in the purchase of paddy and wheat by people associated with the ruling party. In a statement issued on Sunday, the SP chief said, "The BJP government has cheated farmers. The cost of farming is increasing. Fertilisers, seeds, water, pesticides, everything has become expensive. Farmers are not getting water for maize and other crops. Flower farming is also drying up. The BJP government has failed on every front. The condition of farming is getting worse by day," Yadav said. The SP chief alleged, "In the BJP government, the crops of the farmers are not being purchased. The people belonging to BJP have done huge corruption in the purchase of crops. There was a loot of government money in the purchase of paddy and whea." "This government has stopped the work of mandis which were built during the Samajwadi government. The government is buying crops for middlemen and industrialists. The agenda of the BJP government is to benefit the industrialists. They have no concern for the farmers," alleged Akhilesh. "There is a power crisis in the state. Maize farmers are not getting electricity for water. Crops are drying up due to lack of water. On one hand, the farmer's crop is drying up, on the other hand, stray and wild animals are trampling the crops of the farmers," said the SP chief....
