AGRA, April 17 -- A hotel owner in Atrauli town of Aligarh was arrested for allegedly providing tissue papers with pictures of Hindu deities on them to customers. Activists of a right-wing group lodged an objection to the incident, after which Aligarh police seized the 'objectionable' tissue papers. "We received information about the use of objectionable tissue papers at a hotel near Subhash Chowk in Atrauli town of Aligarh district. Police acted and seized them and arrested the man who ran the hotel," said Sajarna Singh, the Atrauli circle officer, in a statement on Wednesday. The matter came to light late on April 14 after which right-wing activists from Bajrang Dal and other groups went to the hotel and objected to the use of such tissue papers. htc...
