PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 31 -- An alleged case of kidnapping and extortion involving a hotel owner and his employee has surfaced in the Mumfordganj area of Prayagraj. The accused allegedly abducted, assaulted, and threatened the victims, demanding Rs.25,000 per month as extortion. The incident reportedly occurred on December 24. Colonelganj police registered an FIR four days later and have taken one accused, Arvind Dubey, into custody. Police said CCTV footage is being examined as the investigation continues....
