Hosts Uttar Pradesh emerge overall champ
LUCKNOW, July 21 -- Host Uttar Pradesh gave a splendid performance to emerge overall champion in the 2nd WMSKF All India Karate Championship, bagging 40 gold medals, at the Chowk Stadium here on Sunday. The West Bengal team finished runner-up, while Punjab got third place.
Overall, Uttar Pradesh won 118 medals, including 40 gold, 52 silver, 26 bronze. West Bengal stood second with 32 medals including 22 gold, 6 silver, 4 bronze and Punjab stood third with 14 medals including 8 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze.
On the second and last day of the championship on Sunday, Ansh Lodhi of Uttar Pradesh won gold medals in under 60 kg, Pintu Yadav in under 45 kg, Shubh Rawat in under 40 kg, Shakti Singh in under 35 kg.
Satsun Club continued their winning streak in the District Football League 2025 even on Sunday, defeating Big Blue Club 3-0, at the Chowk Stadium here on Sunday. Arsh Hasan scored in the 15th,47th minutes, whereas Nafees scored in the 52nd minute. In the second match, Milani Club defeated Rising Star Club by a solitary goal Tarun scored in the 14th minute. In the third match, RA Boys Club defeated Unique Club 3-0. Abhishek scored for RA Boys Club in the 20th minute, whereas Deepak struck in the 55th minutes, before Neeraj completed the formality in the 58th minute....
