India, May 9 -- A fter multiple protocol breaches during the Indian Premier League 2026 season, including Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag allegedly vaping inside the dressing room, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a fresh eight-page Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) advisory to all 10 IPL franchises. The directive, sent by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia on Thursday night, flags concerns raised by the board's Anti-Corruption Unit during IPL 2026. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said, "The BCCI is setting up new rules... The access that the players have will be controlled; unauthorised people will not be allowed to meet the players, neither in hotels nor on buses, to ensure the transparency of the IPL." Team managers have been directed to conduct mandatory team briefings within 48 hours and obtain written acknowledgements from players and support staff confirming they have understood the guidelines. Franchises have also been asked to maintain written records of all approved hotel guests. The BCCI has warned that any breach of the new protocols will be treated as a "serious disciplinary matter"....
