Home Guards exam from April 25 in Var; over 20k candidates to appear
Varanasi, April 23 -- Over 20,000 candidates will appear for the Home Guards Enrollment Examination to be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board from April 25 to 27 across 45 centres in the district. The exam will be held in two shifts - 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 5pm, said district magistrate Satyendra Kumar on Wednesday.
Kumar and additional commissioner of police Shivhari Meena chaired a briefing with magistrates, centre superintendents and police officials, directing them to ensure fair, secure and cheating-free exam.
Strict frisking will take place, and candidates will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, smartwatches, or other electronic devices inside exam halls. Officials must ensure CCTV monitoring, proper handling of OMR sheets, and adherence to SOPs.
Centre superintendents have been asked to conduct mandatory briefings for invigilators, and make arrangements for cloakrooms for mobile phones.
The district administration said all preparations should be completed in time to ensure smooth conduct of the examination....
