Heritage and fashion meet at FDCI & India Art Fair's showcase
India, Aug. 9 -- The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) joined hands with India Art Fair's Young Collectors' Programme, supported by Development Commissioner (DC) Handicrafts, to celebrate Indian handlooms. They presented a powerful exhibition at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy.
The ongoing exhibition was inaugurated by Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Amrit Raj, DC, Handicrafts, Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary.
Guests spent time exploring the spread in Textile Gallery, curated by Sunil Sethi, Chairman, Fashion Design Council of India, and the Innovation Gallery, whose current display is curated by Sreyansi Singh.
The immersive installation features the work of cutting-edge design labels: 2112 Saldon (Ladakh), 7Weaves (Assam), Boito (Odisha), Bun.Kar Bihar (Bihar), Erode (Tamil Nadu), Johargram (Jharkhand), Kiniho (Meghalaya), and Tega Collective in collaboration with Sandur Kushala Kala Kendra (Karnataka).
