Heavy fog delays flight ops at Lko airport
Lucknow, Dec. 17 -- Dense fog and adverse weather conditions in the city and surrounding areas since early morning affected flight operations at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi) on Tuesday. Reduced visibility caused several flights to be delayed and one flight canceled. An international flight had to be diverted.
According to airport officials, visibility dropping below minimum required standards created difficulties for take-offs and landings, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Air India flight AI 2499 from Delhi to Lucknow, scheduled for 7:10 AM, was canceled due to poor weather.
Flynas XY 896 from Dammam to Lucknow, scheduled for 5:15 AM, was diverted at 6:00 AM. Several flights were delayed and three others were cancelled on Monday, too. htc...
