LUCKNOW, Jan. 8 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has sought LDA's response on rainwater harvesting in its housing schemes. This order was passed by a division bench of justice Rajan Roy and justice Abdhesh Kumar Chaudhary on Tuesday while hearing a PIL filed by Utkarsh Lok Sewa Sansthan in 2016, seeking directives for the provision of clean drinking water in Lucknow. After the authorities concerned filed their replies, the court said their copies shall be provided to the counsel for LDA, who shall respond regarding rainwater harvesting and other issues. Earlier, the court had directed the principal secretary of urban development to file an affidavit. The court had also issued a notice to LDA and newly impleaded party, the Central Water Commission( CWC), in this matter. On Tuesday, the CWC, the state of UP and UP Jal Nigam filed their affidavits in the matter.
