JODHPUR, Jan. 31 -- The Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan high court, while exercising its inherent powers, directed the state to grant employment to a widow and a mother of four belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, who stood meritorious in the recruitment process to the post of school lecturer, but was denied employment for having more than two surviving children. The petitioner, Sunita Dhawan, a widow and mother of four children, had qualified on merit under the SC-widow category for the post of school lecturer in 2015.
