JODHPUR, May 17 -- The Rajasthan high court on Friday adjourned the hearing on a leave to appeal filed by the state government against Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and a local resident, Dushyant Singh, in connection with the alleged hunting of two blackbucks in 1998. The single bench of justice Manoj Kumar Garg fixed July 28 as the next date of hearing. The leave to appeal challenges the acquittal of the five accused. The judge said, "List the matter on July 28 along with the criminal appeal filed by the accused - Salman Khan." Bollywood actor Salman Khan is accused of poaching two blackbucks in Kankani village, Jodhpur district, during the shooting of the film "Hum Saath Saath Hain" on the intervening night of October 1 and 2, 1998. Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam, and Dushyant Singh were charged with instigating Khan to commit the offence. On April 5, 2018, a chief judicial magistrate court in Jodhpur sentenced Salman Khan to five years' imprisonment. The co-accused actors and local resident were acquitted on the benefit of doubt. While Salman Khan filed an appeal against his conviction, the state government filed leave to appeal against the acquittal of the co-accused. Now, both matters will be heard together....
