LUCKNOW, July 23 -- A sparkling unbeaten century by Harsh Vardhan Pant helped CAL Lavender beat CAL Yellow by 55 runs to lift the SAR Under-12 Trophy in memory of Neeru Kapoor, at the SAR Cricket Ground here on Tuesday. Pant slammed an unbeaten 94-ball 109 with the help of 12 boundaries and a six as CAL Lavender piled up 190/2 in 25 overs while batting first after winning the toss. He along with Viraj Pal added an unbeaten 152 runs for the third wicket. Pal made 52 in 40 balls with the help of seven hits to the fence. In reply, CAL Yellow despite having a good start, could make 135 in 22.5 overs. Openers Sanam jauhar (22, 23b, 2x4) and Huzaifa (24, 17b, 1x4) added 58 runs for the first wicket in just 6.1 overs, but thereafter, other batters failed to capitalize on and kept departing on regular intervals. Shaurya Yadav struck 20 with two boundaries. For CAL Lavender, Harshit Pandey remained the wrecker-in-chief, bagging 4/14, whereas Arihan Singh and Adwik Verma shared four wickets between them. Convincing wins marked the day in the District Football League 2025 on Tuesday, at the Chowk Stadium here as Elite Club defeated Gomti Nagar 4-1, whereas Tektro Lucknow Reserves beat Lucknow Football Club 4-0. For Elite Club, Vidit, Aviral, Divyanshu and Abhinav scored, whereas for Gomti Nagar, Divyansh scored the solitary goal. In the second match, Yash Arnab, Wangkhem, Farooq and Bhaskar scored a goal each.
