Guv urges students to innovate, follow 75% attendance rule
LUCKNOW, Sept. 11 -- Governor Anandiben Patel, at the 68th convocation of Lucknow University, stressed strict adherence to the 75% attendance rule and encouraged students to engage in research, innovation, and patent creation. She also highlighted instances where Indian research credit was historically taken abroad.
"There were several research and innovations by our ancestors that remained unrecognised for various reasons. As students, it is your duty to pursue research, work on innovative ideas, and secure patents. Regular class attendance is mandatory. The facility of back papers should also be abolished in universities," Patel said.
Patel spoke about the central government's 'Gyan Bharatam Mission' to preserve India's traditional knowledge. "Over one crore manuscripts will be surveyed, documented, and preserved with the help of educational institutions, museums, libraries, and private collectors," she added....
