Pune, Sept. 10 -- Six more people, including gangster Bandu Andekar (68), were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the "revenge" murder of Ayush Komkar, whose father is one of the accused in the killing of Andekar's son, Pune police said, adding the number of arrests in the case has increased to eight. "We arrested Bandu Andekar and three others from Mehkar in Buldhana district while they were on the run," Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said, adding two more accused were arrested in Pune. Komkar, 18, was shot dead allegedly by two gunmen near his residence in Bhavani Peth on September 5. Police suspected it to be the "revenge" for the murder of former NCP corporator Vanraj Andekar, son of Bandu Andekar, in September last year. Ayush's father Ganesh Komkar and mother Sanjeevani - who is also Vanraj's sister - are accused in the last year's murder of the NCP leader in the same area allegedly due to a family dispute over a property.
