Govt to host 'Skill Olympic' in Lucknow on July 15-16
LUCKNOW, July 13 -- To mark the World Youth Skills Day 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government will host 'Skill Olympic' in the state capital on July 15 and 16. The event will be organised under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) with the aim to showcase youth-driven innovations, especially those leveraging modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, a government spokesperson said.
Mission director Pulkit Khare stated that selected trainees from training centres across all districts will take part in the Skill Olympic to present their projects, models, apps, or tech-based solutions. "This initiative will not only give technological recognition to the youth but also help position them as an industry-ready workforce," he added.
The Olympic will feature exhibitions of innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, machine learning, drone tech, health tech, smart agriculture, and digital designing.
The Yuva Kaushal Chaupal will highlight inspiring journeys of youth whose lives have been transformed through skill training. Eleven selected individuals will be felicitated as 'Kaushal Youth Icons.
A Kaushal Mela will also be held as part of the event, showcasing a blend of industry, talent, and culture. More than 100 stalls will be set up for live demonstrations of handicrafts, healthcare products, electronics, chikankari, and textile goods....
