Jhansi, Sept. 10 -- Chaos erupted at a reputed private nursing home in Jhansi on Monday evening when more than a dozen masked men stormed into the facility, assaulting the doctor and several members of the medical staff. The attackers also ransacked the hospital office, leaving patients and their attendants in shock. Several staff members, including the attending doctor, sustained serious injuries. The police have arrested four individuals, including the prime accused-identified as a former village head-and sent them to judicial custody on Tuesday. According to reports, the hospital is run by Dr Mandeep Madiya. The violence was reportedly triggered by a dispute involving Shivdeep Singh, a resident of Dhamnakhurd village in Chirgaon, whose mother had been discharged from the hospital earlier that day. CCTV footage shows the assailants brutally attacking Dr Madiya and other staff members who rushed to his aid. While most of the attackers managed to escape, hospital staff were able to apprehend Shivdeep and hand him over to the police. An FIR was registered later that night. htc...
