Gold medals cleared for DSMNRU students
LUCKNOW, June 25 -- The examination committee of Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) has given a nod to constituting gold medals for visually and hearing-impaired students obtaining highest marks in the university, faculty and department.
It was one of the key suggestions made by UP governor and chancellor of universities, Anandiben Patel during the 11th convocation ceremony of the university in September last year. University spokesperson Prof Yashwant Kumar Virodai said that the suggestion received a nod by the examination committee and it will be presented during the next academic council meeting.
"A chancellor's gold medal for a visually or hearing-impaired student obtaining highest marks in the university has been given a nod by the examination committee. This medal will be given apart from the existing chancellors' gold, silver and bronze medals," said Virodai.
Besides, Chief Minister Gold Medal for visually or hearing-impaired students who obtain the highest marks in the faculty will be conferred apart from the existing CM gold, silver and bronze medals.
"A vice-chancellor's gold medal for visually or hearing impaired students obtaining highest marks in every department will be conferred apart from the existing vice chancellor's gold, silver and bronze medals," Virodai added....
