Lucknow, Oct. 30 -- The Global Honey Conference 2025, held in Lucknow on Wednesday, highlighted Uttar Pradesh's growing potential in beekeeping and honey production. The event focused on advancing technological innovations, entrepreneurship and market linkages to boost beekeepers' income and strengthen the apiculture ecosystem. BL Meena, IAS, additional chief secretary, horticulture & agro-food processing, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Mukesh Singh, chair of the Indo-American chamber of commerce (IACC), attended as guest of honour. Addressing the gathering of beekeepers, scientists, policymakers and industry professionals, Meena shared insights from his recent visit to Denmark, emphasising sustainable practices, research collaborations and government initiatives aimed at empowering beekeepers. During an interactive session, Meena encouraged prominent beekeepers, including Namrita Khanna and Nimitt Madhumakhiwala, to contribute ideas to help UP surpass Haryana in honey production and innovation.
