PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 16 -- The Global Alumni Convention-2025 of MNNIT, Allahabad, commenced on Saturday with a vibrant celebration of memories, friendships and the enduring bond shared between the institute and its alumni. Graduates from across generations and continents returned to their alma mater, transforming the campus into a hub of emotional reconnections and heartfelt reminiscence. The inaugural ceremony began with lamp-lighting and Saraswati Vandana, setting a solemn and traditional tone. Chief guest Rajiv Jain, an alumnus from the 1987 Civil Engineering batch and managing director of Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation Limited, Bhopal, and guest of honour Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, a 1992 Civil Engineering graduate and chief vigilance officer at Coal India Limited, Kolkata, graced the occasion, along with Prof AK Dubey, chairman of the Alumni Convention; co-chairperson Shiv Narain; and acting director of MNNIT, Prof Shubhi Purwar.
