Global AI convention in Gkp urges youth to use technology responsibly
GORAKHPUR, March 29 -- The two-day global convention on Artificial Intelligence (AI), organised by the World Organisation of Students and Youth (WOSY), concluded on Saturday at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, with experts urging the younger generation to use AI responsibly for societal welfare.
Participants and speakers from several countries emphasised that Artificial Intelligence should serve as a tool to promote global cooperation and improve the lives of ordinary people. They also cautioned against its misuse, particularly in spreading misinformation.
Addressing the closing session, Nepal MP Sandeep Rana, along with ABVP national joint organising secretary, highlighted that AI is rapidly reshaping education, research and global competition. They also raised concerns about misinformation, data privacy, and employment. Students were encouraged to adopt AI with awareness, ethical responsibility, and critical thinking. The convention featured six sessions over two days. Following the inaugural session on the first day, a special session on "AI Startups" was held under the aegis of Vision Digital India.
On the second day, four sessions were conducted. The first, titled "Artificial Intelligence for an Accessible Future," was attended by Deoria MP Shashank Mani Tripathi, IIIT Lucknow director Dr Arun Mohan Sherry, Dr Manish Pandey, Manu Sharma and other distinguished guests....
