Giving wings to youth, 40 winners honoured
LUCKNOW, Feb. 5 -- A felicitation ceremony for the winners of the State Level Skill Competition under the India Skills Competition-2025-26 was organised by the UP Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) at the Skill Development Mission Headquarters, Lucknow on Wednesday.
On this occasion, Hariom, principal secretary, department of vocational education, skill development and entrepreneurship, and mission director Pulkit Khare honoured 40 winners who excelled in 20 different trades by presenting them with awards and certificates.
Two winners from each trade were honored, who brought glory to the state with their skill, dedication and hard work.
Hariom interacted with the winning participants, enquired about their training experience, competition journey and future plans, and encouraged them.
He said that the state government is committed to providing modern, employment-oriented and globally standardised skills to the youth. Khare said that the state level skill competition is a powerful platform to recognise the talent of the youth, which inspires them to become self-reliant and to advance at the national and international level. He said that all the winners will participate in a special boot camp organised in Lucknow on February 4 and 5 where they will be prepared for the North Regional Skill Competition by experts.
