Gas cylinder leak triggers blaze at biryani shop, two hurt
LUCKNOW, Feb. 18 -- Two youths sustained minor burn injuries allegedly after a gas cylinder leak triggered a fire at a biryani shop in the Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow on Tuesday afternoon, police and fire officials said.
The incident occurred around 12.30pm at a market in Amausi village under the Sarojini Nagar police station limits.
According to locals, Sufiyan (22) and Afzal (23), residents of Rampur Mathura in Sitapur, live and work at the shop, which remains closed on Tuesdays. At the time of the incident, they were cooking for themselves when gas pipe allegedly slipped off the stove, triggering flames from cylinder.
Both sustained burn injuries while trying to douse the fire. Both injured youths were rushed to Civil Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. htc...
