Prayagraj, Aug. 30 -- The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT Allahabad) held its Orientation Day on Friday to formally welcome the new batch of first-year BTech students. The ceremony took place at the institute's main auditorium in the Jhalwa campus and was attended by director Prof Mukul Sharad Sutaone, along with faculty members, staff and senior students.Addressing the 452 freshers, Prof Sutaone stressed the importance of discipline, curiosity, and ethical values in shaping their academic journey and future careers. "The future cannot be predicted, but it can certainly be made," he remarked, encouraging students to embrace innovation, hard work, and a sense of responsibility.He urged students to explore interdisciplinary domains, engage actively in extracurricular activities, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building through technology and innovation.
Highlighting the need for holistic development, Prof Sutaone advised students to nurture not just their Intelligence Quotient (IQ), but also their Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Social Quotient (SQ) to grow into well-rounded individuals equipped for future challenges.He also reminded the students that IIITA offers a vibrant ecosystem of learning, innovation, and personal growth.
