Prayagraj, Nov. 9 -- A 34-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend in the Khuldabad area of Atala Imli Tola on Saturday morning after a dispute over suspicion of an illicit relationship. The accused has been arrested, police said. The victim, Mohammad Seraj, a native of Chhoti Bajaria Kajiyana under Bindki police station in Fatehpur district, had been living in a rented house in Atala, Prayagraj, for the past 15 years with his wife, two sons, and a daughter. He earned his livelihood by driving a car and dealing in scrap. According to police, Seraj visited the house of his friend Mohammad Ayaz, around 6.15 am. During an argument, Ayaz accused Seraj of having an affair with his wife and attacked him with a knife, inflicting several stab wounds. Seraj collapsed on the spot and died. Local residents and Seraj's family rushed to the spot and informed the police. A team led by ACP (Kotwali) Ravi Gupta, along with Khuldabad police and forensic experts, reached the site.
