LUCKNOW, Aug. 8 -- Ahead of the Raksha Bandhan, women and one accompanying passenger will be able to travel free on city buses across Uttar Pradesh for three days from August 8 to August 10, the state government announced on Thursday. According to a press statement issued by the state government, the Urban Transport Directorate under the Urban Development Department has directed city bus operators to ensure smooth and safe travel during this period.
