Four members of a gang involved in theft arrested
PRAYAGRAJ, May 29 -- Police of Bahria police station in Trans Ganga area of Prayagraj arrested four members of a robbery gang, including kingpin of the gang, carrying a reward of Rs 10,000.
The police recovered Rs 67,500 cash, two country-made pistols, two cartridges and two bikes used in the crime from the gang members. According to police, on May 20, from Manethu brick kiln near Kanehti railway crossing in Prayagraj, miscreants had looted Rs 85,700 from one Shashi Kumar Mishra, a resident of Banwarpur under Ranuganj police station area in Pratapgarh. Mishra is an employee of a private finance company.
On the tip off, the police arrested Ravi Patel, a resident of Bhulai Ka Pura under Phulpur police station, carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 and Aditya Singh, a resident of Kamala Nagar in Prayagraj. Two other gang members arrested were Suraj Pal of Jagdishpur Pure Chanda under Tharwai police station and Sachin Yadav of Belwaj. All four accused were arrested near Devkipur on Tuesday night. htc...
