Four killed as jeep crashes into tree in Ballia
Varanasi, Nov. 13 -- Four people were killed after a jeep collided with a tree near Mahua village along the Parvatpur-Gherai road under the Bansdih police station area of Ballia on Tuesday night, police said.
Police identified the deceased as Satyam Rajbhar ,20, and Raja Kumar ,18, both residents of Diwakarpur village.
Two others also died one on the way to the hospital and another during treatment.Abhishek,18, is undergoing treatment.
Two of the deceased were residents of Rampurkalan, and one was from Diwakarpur. According to police, all four of the deceased had been drinking alcohol before the accident.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle under the influence, causing the jeep to crash into a tree. Police said further investigation into the accident is underway....
