Four die in high-speed bike crash in Badaun
Meerut, July 12 -- An accident on Thursday evening claimed four lives in Karhedi village, located under the Wazirganj police station in Badaun district. The crash involved two motorcycles. One man survived but is in critical condition.
According to the police and local people, Atar Singh Meena ,40, and his relative Bachchu Singh ,60, had gone to buy vegetables on a Royal Enfield Bullet. At the same time, three other men-Sanjay,28, Sompal Singh ,55, and Ashok ,28,-were returning home on another bike. Near Alua, both motorcycles, reportedly moving at high speeds, collided head-on.
The impact was so strong that all five were thrown off the bikes and sustained head injuries.
Atar Singh, Bachchu Singh, Sompal, and Sanjay died on the spot. Ashok was taken to the hospital and is fighting for his life. Sanjay ran a small fast food stall, while Atar Singh, Bachchu Singh, Sompal, and Ashok were farmers. Bachchu Singh's wife, Poonam, is physically disabled.
He is survived by his son Kartikeya and daughter Soni.
Sompal leaves behind his wife Pista Devi, two sons-Jaiprakash (also known as Bhole), Babulal-and a daughter, Ruby. Atar Singh is survived by his wife Vimlesh, son Dushyant, and daughter Priyanshi. His mother, Vimla Devi, who once served as the village head, is heartbroken. Sanjay's wife, Shiva, is now left to care for their two young children-daughter Vintu and son Golu-on her own.
